Rossella Berni obtained a PhD in Applied Statistics from the University of Florence in 1995. Since 1995, she has been a researcher; currently, she is Full Professor at the Department of Statistics Computer Science Applications “G. Parenti”, University of Florence. She has been a member of the Italian Statistical Society (SIS) since 1996 and a member of the European Network for Business and Industrial Statistics (ENBIS) since 2002. She was an IEEE member in the period 2012 – 2020, and ENBIS Vice-President in the period 2017-2019. In the period 2021-2025 she was the leader of itENBIS. Her research interests include design of experiments, response surface methodology, optimal experimental designs, computer experiments and Kriging modelling.
