Mauro Maltagliati is professor of economic statistics at the University of Florence. He has a P.H.D. in applied statistics. His main research interests are in equivalence scales, consumer behavior theory, analysis of efficiency both with production functions and Data Envelopment Analysis, design of relational databases, analysis and comparisons of well-being, and design of models and software for calculating transfer allowances for separated families.

Over 30 years of experience in RDBMS, such as Oracle and Microsoft Access (all the releases). Doct. Maltagliati has been the developer of several datawarehouses for private and public institutions.
