Mauro Maltagliati is professor of economic statistics at the University of Florence. He has a P.H.D. in applied statistics. His main research interests are in equivalence scales, consumer behavior theory, analysis of efficiency both with production functions and Data Envelopment Analysis, design of relational databases, analysis and comparisons of well-being, and design of models and software for calculating transfer allowances for separated families.

KEY QUALIFICATIONS

Over 30 years of experience in RDBMS, such as Oracle and Microsoft Access (all the releases). Doct. Maltagliati has been the developer of several datawarehouses for private and public institutions. Teacher for the University of Florence, since 2000, of Economic Statistics and informatic subjects, such as relational databases, spreadsheets, and specific statistics and mathematical softwares.

For the 2024-2025 academic year, Professor Maltagliati teaches the following courses: "Sources and Methods for the Analysis of Economic and Social Phenomena" in the bachelor's degree program in "Development and International Cooperation", "Statistical Information Systems" in the bachelor's degree program in Business Administration, and "Statistics for Business Applications" in the bachelor's degree program in Business Administration.

Over the past thirty years, Professor Maltagliati has also taught courses in Statistics, Economic Statistics, Relational Databases, and Quantitative Methods for Business at foreign universities and private institutions. He has collaborated on the survey of agricultural product prices as part of Romania's accession to the European Union and served as a database manager for the Agricultural Census in Yemen in 2002.
