Pierfrancesco Bellini è nato a Firenze nel 1969, ha conseguito la laurea con lode in Ingegneria Informatica nel 1997 ed il dottorato di ricerca in Ingegneria Informatica e delle Telecomunicazioni nell 2001, entrambi presso l'Università degli Studi di Firenze.
Dal 2001 al 2015 è stato Professore a contratto, assegnista di ricerca e collaboratore (cococo) dell' Università di Firenze. Dal 2015 al 2018 è stato ricercatore a tempo determinato (tipo B) e dal 2018 è professore associato presso il Dipartimento di Ingegneria dell'Informazione (DINFO).

Pierfrancesco Bellini was born in Florence in 1969, he received a degree cum laude in Computer Engineering in 1997 and a PhD in Computer and Telecommunications Engineering in 2001, both from the University of Florence.
From 2001 to 2015 he was a contract professor, research fellow and fixed term collaborator at the University of Florence. From 2015 to 2018 he was a fixed-term researcher (type B) and since 2018 he has been an associate professor at the Department of Information Engineering (DINFO).
