AREE PRINCIPALI DI INTERESSE SCIENTIFICO
Il prof. Carlo Dani ha condotto numerose ricerche prevalentemente sulle seguenti tematiche :
- Iperbilirubinemia neonatale e fototerapia in relazione all’alimentazione del neonato, alla “trans-epidermal water loss”, al flusso ematico cerebrale, allo stress ossidativo nel neonato pretermine ed all’inattivazione del surfattante polmonare nel modello animale.
- Studio dell’emodinamica cerebrale, renale e splancnica mediante “near infrared spectroscopy” del neonato a termine, del neonato pretermine sottoposto a trasfusione, ed in corso di terapia farmacologica
- Studio della Ventilazione Meccanica neonatale con particolare riferimento alla prevenzione della displasia broncopolmonare.
- Studio della prevenzione di alcune delle più comuni complicanze del neonato pretermine quali la sepsi, la pervietà del dotto arterioso (PDA), l’emorragia intraventricolare (IVH), la retinopatia della prematurità (ROP) e l’enterocolite necrotizzante (NEC),
- Studio dello stress ossidativo nel neonato

Successivamente verrà concordato l'argomento della tesi anche tenendo conto delle indicazioni dallo studente.
