Professoressa Linda Vignozzi
La Prof.ssa Linda Vignozzi è nata a Empoli il 05/01/1976 e si è laureata in Medicina e Chirurgia presso l’Università degli Studi di Firenze nel 2001, con il massimo dei voti e la Lode. Nel 2006 ha conseguito il titolo di Dottore di Ricerca in Endocrinologia e Malattie del Metabolismo presso l’Università degli Studi di Firenze e nel 2011 quello di Specialista in Endocrinologia e Malattie del Metabolismo presso l’Università degli Studi di Pisa.
Dal 1 settembre 2024 è Professore Ordinario in Endocrinologia presso la Facoltà di Medicina e Chirurgia di Firenze nel Dipartimento di Scienze Biomediche, sperimentali e cliniche “Mario Serio”. E’ stata Coordinatrice di unità all’interno di Progetti di Ricerca di interesse nazionale (PRIN e FIRB). Ad oggi coordina l’unità di Ricerca in Endocrinologia ginecologica all’interno della sezione di Medicina della Sessualità e Andrologia dell’Università degli Studi di Firenze. Presidente del Corso di Laurea in Medicina e Chirurgia di Firenze. Riveste anche il ruolo di membro del Senato Accademico dell’Università di Firenze.
La Prof.ssa Vignozzi è attualmente Presidente della Società Italiana di Andrologia e Medicina della sessualità (SIAMS) e Presidente di ISSWSH -International Society for the Study of Women's Sexual Health. Ha rivestito numerose cariche in commissioni scientifiche all’interno di diverse società nazionali ed internazionali in ambito endocrinologico, come la SIAMS e la SIE ed ha ricoperto la funzione di Membro del Consiglio Direttivo della Società Italiana di Endocrinologia fino al 2021. E’ stata inoltre il coordinatore della sottocommissione della International Society for Sexual Medicine (ISSM) dedicata alla “Female Sexual (dys)function” e il coordinatore della Commissione Scientifica per la “Female Sexual Health dysfunction” dell’European Society for Sexual Medicine (ESSM). E’ Deputy Editor-in-Chief del Journal of Sexual Medicine e membro del pannello editoriale di riviste scientifiche internazionali in ambito endocrinologico. Svolge inoltre regolarmente attività di revisore per le maggiori riviste scientifiche del settore e per agenzie di finanziamento nazionali e internazionali. La Professoressa Vignozzi ha pubblicato più di 250 lavori su riviste internazionali con peer-review nell’ambito della fisiopatologia della riproduzione e della sessualità maschile e femminile, e delle malattie metaboliche ad essa correlate. La produzione scientifica è ampiamente citata con un H-index di 66 su Scopus-(Scopus - Author search results; https://www.scopus.com/authid/detail.uri?authorId=6507526011). Dal 2004 la Prof.ssa è stata invited speaker in numerosi congressi scientifici di rilevanza nazionale e internazionale.
Attualmente Dirige la SOD complessa di Andrologia, Endocrinologia femminile e Incongruenza di genere-AOU Careggi, Firenze.

She is deputy-Director of the Department of Experimental and Biomedical sciences “Mario Serio”. At the University of Florence she received the MD and the PhD degree in Endocrinology and Metabolic diseases. At the School of Endocrinology and Metabolism- University of Pisa, she received her Postgraduate Diplomate (2011). Since September 1st 2024 she is Full Professor of Endocrinology at the University of Florence. Prof. Linda Vignozzi (orcid.org/0000-0003-0907-0630) is the co-author of more than 250manuscripts ( H-index Scopus 66; Author ID: 6507526011 ), has written several book chapters and invited reviews in the field of male and female sexual medicine, hypogonadism and metabolic diseases, prostatic diseases, including BPH, human reproduction.
