Dottore di ricerca in Storia economica. Il suo principale campo di ricerca è la storia economica europea pre-industriale; i suoi interessi scientifici includono in particolare la storia della manifattura e del commercio, con un focus su corporazioni, mercato del lavoro e reti mercantili internazionali.Ha insegnato Storia economica all'Università di Firenze e History of Money and Banking al CET Academic programs in Florence.È stato assegnista di ricerca dei progetti EINITE (Economic Inequality in Italy and Europe, 1300-1800) e SMITE (Social Mobility in Italy and Europe, 1300-1800) presso il Centro Carlo F. Dondena per la ricerca sulle dinamiche sociali dell'Università L. Bocconi di Milano; è stato inoltre assegnista di ricerca del progetto EMoBookTrade (The Early Modern Book Trade: An Evidence-based Reconstruction of the Economic and Juridical Framework of the European Book Market) presso l'Università di Milano.Attualmente è ricercatore di Storia Economica presso l'Università di Firenze e collabora con la Fondazione Istituto di Storia Economica "F. Datini" di Prato.

Ph.D. in Economic History. His main research field is the pre-industrial Eropean Economic history; his scientific interests include in particular the history of manufacture and trade, with a focus on guilds, labour market and international merchant networks.
He has taught Economic History at the University of Florence and History of Money and Banking at the CET Academic Programs in Florence.
He has been a Research Fellow of the EINITE (Economic Inequality in Italy and Europe, 1300-1800) and of the SMITE (Social Mobility in Italy and Europe, 1300-1800) projects at the Carlo F. Dondena Centre for Research on Social Dynamics of the L. Bocconi University in Milan; he has also been a Research Fellow of the EMoBookTrade project (The Early Modern Book Trade: An Evidence-based Reconstruction of the Economic and Juridical Framework of the European Book Market) at the University of Milan.
At present he is a Researcher of Economic History at the University of Florence and collaborates with the Fondazione Istituto di Storia Economica “F. Datini” in Prato (Italy).
