Francesca Dello Preite è nata il 21 novembre 1968 a Camaiore e vive a Lido di Camaiore in provincia di Lucca (Italia).
Nel 1991 ha vinto il concorso per la cattedra di docente di scuola elementare ed ha insegnato nella scuola primaria per più di 20 anni.
Nel 2012 ha intrapreso il dottorato di ricerca in Scienze della Formazione, indirizzo in Qualità della conoscenza e saperi delle differenze, Ciclo XXVIII, SSD M-PED/01, Università degli Studi di Firenze, Dipartimento di Scienze della Formazione e Psicologia – SCIFOPSI.
Nel 2020 ha vinto il concorso di Ricercatrice di tipo A, nel 2021 di Ricercatrice di tipo B e nel 2024 è stata assunta a tempo indeterminato come Professoressa associata di Pedagogia generale e sociale presso il Dipartimento FORLILPSI dell'Università di Firenze.
Tra i suoi hobbies: la lettura, i viaggi, la corsa a piedi (è stata atleta a livello agonistico per molti anni), le passeggiate in montagna e lo sci.
Francesca Dello Preite è Professoressa associata di Pedagogia Generale e Sociale presso il Dipartimento FORLILPSI dell’Università degli Studi di Firenze.
È Direttrice del corso di Perfezionamento post-laurea in "Violenza di genere e femminicidio oggi. Formare nuove professionalità educative per la prevenzione e l'intervento nella violenza intrafamiliare".
È componente dell'Unità di Ricerca dell'Università di Firenze del Progetto PRIN Bando 2022 PNRR - Titolo: Phoenix. A new kind of "rebirth" for women and children living in conditions of marginalization.
È componente dell'Unità di Ricerca del Progetto competitivo biennale per Ricercatori a Tempo Determinato (RTD) dell’Università di Firenze - Titolo: Narrazioni di genere e altre identità. Costruire comunità inclusive.
È componente del Comitato di Direzione e Responsabile del Comitato di Redazione della Rivista “Women and Education” - Casa Editrice Pensa MultiMedia.

È vincitrice del Premio Italiano di Pedagogia 2019 della SIPED, con la monografia Donne e dirigenza scolastica. Prospettive per una leadership e una governance al femminile, ETS, Pisa 2018.
È socia ordinaria delle società scientifiche SIPED, SIREF e SIPEGES e componente dei Gruppi di lavoro SIPED “Intersezioni pedagogiche” e “Pedagogia Interculturale”.
I suoi principali campi di ricerca afferiscono alle tematiche riguardanti la leadership al femminile in ambito scolastico, l’intercultura in chiave di genere e generazionale e la violenza sulle donne e sull’infanzia.

Biography: Francesca Dello Preite was born on November 21, 1968, in Camaiore and lives in Lido di Camaiore in the province of Lucca, Italy.
In 1991, she won the competition for the position of primary school teacher and has taught in primary school for more than 20 years.
In 2012, she undertook a PhD in Educational Sciences, specializing in Quality of Knowledge and Knowledge of Differences, Cycle XXVIII, SSD M-PED/01, at the University of Florence, Department of Education and Psychology – SCIFOPSI.
In 2020, she won the competition for Type A Researcher, in 2021 for Type B Researcher, and in 2024, she was hired on a permanent basis as Associate Professor of General and Social Pedagogy at the FORLILPSI Department of the University of Florence.
Hobbies: Her hobbies include reading, travelling, running (she was a competitive athlete for many years), mountain walks, and skiing.
Francesca Dello Preite is an Associate Professor of General and Social Pedagogy at the FORLILPSI Department of the University of Florence.
She is the Director of the post-graduate specialization course in "Gender Violence and Femicide Today: Training New Educational Professionals for the Prevention and Intervention in Intra-Family Violence."
She is a member of the Research Unit of the University of Florence for the PRIN Project Call 2022 PNRR, titled "Phoenix: A New Kind of 'Rebirth' for Women and Children Living in Conditions of Marginalization." Additionally, she is part of the Research Unit for the two-year competitive project for Fixed-Term Researchers (RTD) at the University of Florence, titled "Gender Narratives and Other Identities: Building Inclusive Communities."
Francesca serves on the Steering Committee and is the Head of the Editorial Committee for the magazine "Women and Education" published by Pensa Multimedia.
She is also a member of the Scientific Committee for the series "Rereadings: Traces and Pedagogical Memories" by Liguori Publishing House and "Gender Cultures, Bodies, Desires, Training" by FrancoAngeli Publishing House. Furthermore, she is on the Scientific Committee of the "Rivista di Educazione Familiare" published by FUP.
In 2019, she won the Italian Pedagogy Award from SIPED for her monograph "Women and School Management: Perspectives for Female Leadership and Governance," published by ETS in Pisa in 2018.
Francesca is an ordinary member of the scientific societies SIPED, SIREF, and SIPEGES, and she participates in the SIPED Working Groups "Pedagogical Intersections" and "Intercultural Pedagogy."
Her main research fields include female leadership in schools, intercultural issues from a gender and generational perspective, and violence against women and children.
