Matilde Milanesi (Firenze, 25/12/1986) ha completato il suo percorso di studi presso l'Università di Firenze, ottenendo prima la laurea triennale in Economia Aziendale (2009, voto 106/110), poi la laurea magistrale in Governo e Direzione d'Impresa (2011, voto 110/110 con lode). Ha intrapreso la carriera accademica iniziando con il Dottorato in Economia presso l'Università di Firenze, con un periodo di visiting presso l'Uppsala University in Svezia. Dopo il Dottorato, ha proseguito come Assegnista di ricerca, e succcessivamente come Ricercatrice junior (RTDa) e senior (RTDb), ruolo quest'ultimo che attualmente ricopre, presso il Dipartimento di Scienze per l'Economia e l'Impresa dell'Università di Firenze. E' in possesso dell'Abilitiazione Scientifica Nazionale come Professore di II fascia in Economia e Gestione delle Imprese. E' titolare di insegnamenti in area marketing e management. Autrice di numerose pubblicazioni scientifiche in riviste internazionali di fascia A, i suoi interessi di ricerca riguardano l'internazionalizzazione delle imprese, il marketing business-to-business, le dinamiche relazionali tra acquirenti e fornitori, le strategie delle imprese della moda e del lusso, la comunicazione di marketing.
Matilde Milanesi è Ricercatrice (RTDb, gruppo scientifico disciplinare 13/ECON-07 – Economia e Gestione delle Imprese, settore scientifico disciplinare ECON-07/A – Economia e Gestione delle Imprese) presso il Dipartimento di Scienze per l’Economia e l’Impresa, Università degli Studi di Firenze. Nel 2020 ha conseguito l'Abilitazione Scientifica Nazionale a Professore di II fascia nel settore concorsuale 13/ECON-07 – Economia e Gestione delle Imprese. Precedentemente, è stata Ricercatrice RTDa (2021-2022) e assegnista di ricerca (2016-2021).
Dopo la Laurea Triennale in Economia Aziendale (2009) e la Laurea Magistrale in Governo e Direzione d'Impresa (2011) presso l'Università degli Studi di Firenze, ha conseguito un Dottorato di Ricerca in Economia (2015). Titolo conseguito nell’ambito del Dottorato in Economia, XXVII ciclo, indirizzo in Economia e Gestione dello Sviluppo Locale (ECON-07/A) presso l’Università degli Studi di Firenze. Ha trascorso un periodo di Visiting presso l'Uppsala University (Svezia).
Ricopre diversi incarichi istituzionali presso il Dipartimento di Scienze per l’Economia e l’Impresa, in particolare:
- Delegata Erasmus responsabile dei Learning Agreement e dei tirocini per il Corso di Laurea Magistrale in Governo e Direzione d’Impresa, e Delegata Erasmus responsabile dei Learning Agreement per il Corso di Laurea Triennale in Economia Aziendale (scuola di economia e Management).
- Componente del Collegio del Dottorato DELoS (Development Economics and Local Systems).
- Componente della Giunta di Dipartimento.
- Componente del Comitato della Biblioteca di Scienze Sociali.
- Componente del Comitato per la Didattica del Corso di Laurea Triennale in Economia Aziendale (Scuola di Economia e Management).
E' titolare dei seguenti insegnamenti:

E' Vice Principal Investigator e Responsabile dell’unità locale per il progetto finanziato PRIN 2022 PNRR sul tema “Maps of bounded rationality, heuristics, and nudging in healthcare decision-making: conditions and opportunities for management”; università coinvolte: Università degli Studi di Firenze, Scuola Superiore di Studi Universitari e Perfezionamento Sant'Anna. E' anche componente dell’unità locale per il progetto finanziato PRIN 2022 sul tema “Communicating companies’ supply chain sustainability practices in a digital environment”; università coinvolte: Università degli Studi di Firenze, Università degli Studi di Perugia, Università degli Studi di Trieste, Università Ca’ Foscari Venezia, Università di Macerata.
Ha organizzato diversi convegni nazionali e internazionali, come l'EURAM - European Academy of Management Annual Conference (2025), il Convegno Annuale della SIM - Società Italiana Marketing (2023), l'IMP - Industrial Marketing and Purchasing Annual Conference (2022), il convegno annuale di CIMaR - Consortium of International Marketing Research (2017).

Matilde Milanesi (Florence, 25/12/1986) completed her studies at the University of Florence, earning a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration (2009, grade: 106/110) and a Master’s Degree in Business Management and Governance (2011, grade: 110/110 with honors).
She pursued the academic career, starting with a PhD in Economics at the University of Florence, which included a visiting period at Uppsala University in Sweden. After completing her PhD, she continued as a Research Fellow, then as a Junior Researcher (RTDa) and later as a Senior Researcher (RTDb), a position she currently holds at the Department of Economics and Business Sciences at the University of Florence.
She holds the National Scientific Qualification as Associate Professor in Business Economics and Management and teaches courses in marketing and management.

After earning a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration (2009) and a Master’s Degree in Business Management (2011) from the University of Florence, she obtained a PhD in Economics (2015). The title was awarded within the PhD program in Economics, 27th cycle, with a specialization in Economics and Management of Local Development (ECON-07/A) at the University of Florence. She also spent a visiting period at Uppsala University (Sweden).
She holds several institutional roles at the Department of Economics and Business Sciences, including:
