Il dottor Mattia Giovannini è specialista in pediatria con afferenza assistenziale presso l’Azienda Ospedaliera Universitaria Meyer IRCCS, Struttura Organizzativa Semplice Dipartimentale di Allergologia e in convenzione con la Casa di Cura La Madonnina di Milano. Dopo la Laurea in Medicina e Chirurgia conseguita nel 2014 presso l’Università degli Studi di Verona, nel 2020 si specializza presso la Scuola di Specializzazione in Pediatria dell’Università di Firenze (Ospedale Pediatrico Universitario Meyer), con indirizzo in Allergologia Pediatrica. Nel 2023 consegue il Master di II Livello in Immunologia ed Allergologia Pediatrica presso il medesimo ateneo e nello stesso anno ottiene l’Abilitazione Scientifica Nazionale alle funzioni di professore universitario di seconda fascia. Il dottor Giovannini ricopre anche l’incarico di ricercatore a tempo determinato di tipologia A presso il Dipartimento di Scienze della Salute dell’Università di Firenze.Durante il suo percorso formativo e professionale, svolge incarichi di rilievo negli Stati Uniti e nel Regno Unito, tra cui: Observer presso la Division of Allergy and Immunology del Boston Children’s Hospital, Harvard Medical School; Visiting Professional presso la Division of Pediatric Allergy dell’Evelina London Children’s Hospital, Guy’s and St. Thomas’ NHS Foundation Trust; Pediatric Allergy Visiting Research Assistant, Visiting Research Associate e Visiting Lecturer presso il Department of Women and Children’s Health, School of Life Course Sciences, King’s College London.Sin dall’inizio della sua carriera, coltiva un forte interesse per l’allergologia pediatrica. Da allora, prende parte attivamente ad attività cliniche e di ricerca, con particolare attenzione all’anafilassi e alle strategie di immunomodulazione.
