GABRIELE PATRIZI (Member, IEEE) received the bachelor’s degree (cum laude) in "Eelectronic and Telecommunications Engineering", the master’s degree (cum laude) in "Electronic Engineering", and the Ph.D. degree in "Industrial and Reliability Engineering" from the University of Florence, Italy, in 2015, 2018, and 2022, respectively.
He is currently a Post-Doctoral Research Fellow in the field of instrumentation and measurement and an Adjunct Lecturer of "Electric Measurements" with the University of Florence (Scientific Sector ING-INF/07).
In the fall of 2022 Dr. Patrizi joined the Institute of Electronic Packaging Technology (German abbreviation IAVT) of the Dresden Technical University (TUD), Dresden, Germany, as a Visiting Postdoc Researcher for a 3-month period.
Dr. Patrizi is Associate Editor-In-Chief of IEEE Transactions on Instrumentation and Measurement (TIM). Furthermore, he serves as reviewer for several top-level international journals, such as IEEE Transactions on Instrumentation and Measurement (TIM), IEEE Access, IEEE System Journal, Measurement (Elsevier) and Sensors (MDPI).
Dr. Patrizi is a licensed Professional Engineer in Italy since 2018, when he received the qualification from the University of Florence in the Information Engineering field.
He was the recipient of the “2023 Best Dissertation Award” from the IEEE Instrumentation and Measurement Society (IMS), the “Electronics 2022 Best PhD Thesis Award” from the journal Electronics (MDPI), the "Best scientific paper & presentation presented by a young scientist" at the 2023 IMEKO TC10 Conference, the “Best paper presented by a young researcher” at the 2022 IEEE International workshop on Metrology for Automotive, and the “I2MTC 2022 Student Travel Grant Award” at the 2022 International Instrumentation and Measurement Technology Conference (I2MTC).
Dr. Patrizi has authored or co-authored more than 90 peer-reviewed journal and conference papers. His research interests include life cycle reliability of complex systems, condition monitoring for fault diagnosis of electronics, safety instrumented systems, data-driven prognostic and health management, Instrumentation and Measurement for Reliability Analysis.
Since 2019 he is a Member of IEEE Instrumentation and Measurement Society, and Member of the Italian Group of Electric and Electronic Measurement (GMEE). He is also member of IMEKO TC10 - Technical Committee on Measurement for Diagnostics, Optimization and Control since 2022.
I've been practicing Karate since I was 7.
