Ruggero Cefalo è ricercatore a tempo determinato in tenure track (RTT) presso l'Università di Firenze, Dipartimento di Scienze Politiche e Sociali. Ha collaborato come co-ricercatore in diversi progetti di ricerca di medie e grandi dimensioni, con un focus comparativo nazionale e internazionale, partecipando alla progettazione e all'esecuzione del lavoro di ricerca. Tra questi, i progetti Horizon EU CLEAR, Young_Adulllt e COHSMO hanno prodotto ampie evidenze quantitative e qualitative sulle transizioni scuola-lavoro, l'apprendimento permanente e la fornitura di politiche sociali all'interno di strutture di governance multilivello e specifici contesti territoriali.

Gli interessi di ricerca di Ruggero Cefalo includono la governance multilivello, le politiche territoriali, le politiche di welfare comparate e le transizioni scuola-lavoro. Ha pubblicato diversi articoli, capitoli di libri e rapporti sulle disparità spaziali nel mercato del lavoro giovanile, sulle politiche dell'occupazione e dell'istruzione, adottando una prospettiva di mixed methods che gli ha permesso di acquisire esperienza di ricerca su molteplici aspetti e prospettive legati alle transizioni giovanili.

Ruggero Cefalo is tenured Assistant Professor at the University of Firenze, Department of Political and Social Sciences. He has served as co-researcher on several medium and large-scale research projects with a national and international comparative focus, where he was engaged in the design and execution of the research work. Among these, the Horizon EU projects CLEAR, Young_Adulllt and COHSMO produced extensive quantitative and qualitative evidence on school-to-work transitions, lifelong learning and social policies provision within multilevel governance structure and specific territorial contexts.

Research interests of Ruggero Cefalo include multilevel governance, territorial policies, comparative welfare policies, school-to-work transitions. He has published several papers, book chapters and reports on youth labour market spatial disparities, employment and education policies, adopting a mixed methods perspective that allowed him to gain research experience on several different aspects and perspectives related to youth transitions.
