Interessi scientifici: ha svolto attivita' di ricerca nell'ambito dell' approssimazione occupandosi di interpolazione spline (con o senza vincoli) di metodi iterativi per la generazione di curve e superfici (schemi di suddivisione) di metodi per la modellizazione geometrica e delle loro applicazioni in CAGD. Recenetemente si e' interessata all' utilizzo di wavelets and frames per l'analisi di immagini ed a metodi per la loro segmentazione. Ha svolto attivita'di ricerca anche nel settore della generazione numerica di griglie computazionali.
Attivita' di ricerca: e' autrice di oltre 70 pubblicazioni su riviste internazionali di settore su volumi e su proceedings. E'stata responsabile di progetti di ricerca (INDAM/GNCS) e partecipante a svariati progetti nazionali. Svolge attivita' di valutazione di progetti nazionali ed internazionali e per riviste ISI/SCOPUS.

Scientific interests: approximation/interpolation of data with splines (with or without constraints), iterative methods for curve and surface generation (subdivision schemes), mathematical models for geometric modeling, and application to CAGD. Also: use of wavelets and frames for the analysis of images and the segmentation of medical images. Numerical grid generation (algebraic method for numerical grid generation).
Research Activity: she authored and co-authored more than 70 publications on international journals, books, proceedings.
