Legenda
Matteo Becatti obtained a MSc in Biology from the University of Firenze, Italy, in 2006, and obtained his PhD for studies on the oxidative stress and SIRT1 modulation in acute myocardial infarction in 2010. Matteo is Associate Professor of Biochemistry at the Department of Experimental and Clinical Biomedical Sciences "Mario Serio", University of Firenze (Italy). Becatti’s research interests involve the understanding of the pathogenetic mechanisms of inflammation-induced thrombosis and the development of new targeted therapies. His main objectives are to discover molecular mechanisms that regulate the structure of the blood clot, its resistance to fibrinolysis and investigate the pathophysiological mechanisms involved in the formation of the blood clot.
