Attendant at the Maxillofacial Surgery (Institute of Odontognathostomatology, University of Florence) in the years 1982-1983; in this period he is the Author of a scientific work, published in 1984, concerning mandibular fractures. Subsequently he is a frequenter at the Chair of Periodontology, of the same Institute, from June 1983 to June 1988. from November 1, 1987 to June 1988; he is the Author of 9 scientific works on various topics of odontostomatological clinic. Winner of the competition for University Researcher for the Degree Course in Dentistry and Dental Prosthetics, he began service in July 1988 and was assigned to the chair of Periodontology until 31 December 1988. From 1 January 1989 he carried out this activity at the chair of Dental Prosthetics, always in the Degree Course in Dentistry and Prosthetics, holding supplementary teaching courses for the students of the C.L.O.P.D. (3rd and 5th year) as well as in the School of Specialization in Dentistry

In June 1994 he began service at the U.O. of Maxillofacial Surgery where he currently carries out assistance activities.
From 1987 to 2000 he was entrusted with teaching Odontostomatological Surgery at the Degree Course in Dentistry and Dental Prosthetics at the University of Florence.
In 2005 he was entrusted with teaching Odontostomatological Clinic at the new Specialist Degree Course in Dentistry and Dental Prosthetics at the same University.

He is responsible for teaching Anesthesiology at the III of the Specialization Course in Dentistry and Prosthetics and currently he is responsible for teaching Odontostomatological Clinic at CLSOP
He is responsible for teaching Maxillofacial Surgery at the School of Specialization in Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery

In particular, he is interested in bone regeneration through bone grafts and also using stem cells.
