Nata a Foligno, 8 Aprile 1976. Monia Lupparelli nel 2002 ha conseguito la laurea in Economia con 110/110 e lode presso l'Università di Perugia; nel 2006 ha conseguito il Dottorato di Ricerca in Statistica Applicata presso il Dipartimento di Statistica dell'Universita di Firenze. Dal 2015 è Professore Associato in Statistica, dal 2015 al 2018 presso il Dipartimento di Scienze Statistiche dell'Università di Bologna e dal 2018 presso il Dipartimento di Statistica, Informatica e Applicazioni dell'Università di Firenze.
Monia Lupparelli ha trascorso diversi periodi all'estero per collaborazioni scientifiche, durante il dottorato presso EURANDOM Research Centre, Technological University di Eindhoven e, successivamente, presso PennState University PA, US (Beherend e Eberly College of Science), presso University of Economic and Business di Athens e presso Department of Statistics and Applied Probability, National University of Singapore. Dal 2012 è coordinatore di programmi di scambi ERASMUS con Università in UK e in USA.
Come attività di ricerca, si occupa prevalentemente di modelli grafici di indipendenza, network, modelli marginali, modelli per variabili latenti con applicazione nell'ambito di dati longitudinali e dati categoriali. Su questi temi, ha pubblicato articoli su riviste di presitigio internazionale, e.g., Journal of the American Statistical Association e Biometrika. Svolge attività di revisore per numerose riviste, e.g., Annals of Statistics e Biometrika. E' Associate Editor della rivista Metrika.
Dal 2015 Monia Lupparelli è membro del Collegio dei Docenti del Dottorato di Ricerca in Statistica dell'Università di Bologna ed è tutor di tesi di dottorato sui seguenti temi di ricerca: differential networks, dinamic networks, semi-parametric models for binary longitudinal data.
Monia Lupparelli è iscritta all'American Statistical Association, alla International Biometrical Society e alla Società Italiana di Statistica. Attualmente è coinvolta nel progetto COST ACTION OC-2015-1-19400: European Cooperation for Statistics of Network data science.

Born in Foligno, 8 April 1976. Monia Lupparelli got a M.Sc degree in Economics 110/110 cum laude in 2002 at the University of Perugia, IT. In 2006 she got the Ph.D in Applied Statistics at the Department of Statistics, University of Florence, IT. Since 2015 she is Associate Professor in Statistics, from 2015 to 2018 at the Department of Statistical Science, University of Bologna and since 2018 at the Department of Statistics, Computer Science and Applications, University of Florence.
She had some research and scholar visiting experiences, during the PhD program at the EURANDOM Research Centre, Technological University of Eindhoven, later at PennState University PA, US (Beherend and Eberly College of Science), at the University of Economic and Business of Athens and at the Department of Statistics and Applied Probability, National University of Singapore. Since 2012 she is coordinator of ERASMUS exchange programs with University in UK and USA.
Main research interests are graphical independence models, network, marginal models, latent variable models with applications for longitudinal data analysis and categorical data analysis. Research works are published on international scientific journals, e.g., Journal of the American Statistical Association and Biometrika. Monia Lupparelli is currently a reviewer of several international scientific journals, e.g., Annals of Statistics and Biometrika. She serves as Associate Editor for Metrika.
Since 2015 Monia Lupparelli is a member of the PhD Board in Statistics of University of Bologna and she is advisor of some PhD students on these topics: differential networks, dynamic networks, semi-parametric models for binary longitudinal data.
Monia Lupparelli is a member of the American Statistical Association, of the International Biometrical Society and of Società Italiana di Statistica. She is currently involved in a COST ACTION OC-2015-1-19400: European Cooperation for Statistics of Network data science.
