Principal Investigator for Careggi Urology Clinic in RECORD 1 Study: An observational study of conservative renal surgery in Italy using open, laparoscopic, and robot-assisted approaches from 2008 to 2011 (19 centers included). This project gathered data from about 800 patients undergoing surgical treatment.
Principal Investigator for Careggi Urology Clinic in RECORD 2 Study: An observational study of renal surgery in Italy. Radical nephrectomy and conservative renal surgery, open, laparoscopic, and robot-assisted (26 centers included). This project gathered data from about 4300 patients undergoing surgical treatment.
Role in Protocol Writing and Steering Committee Member for the International prospective observational REgistry of Conservative or Radical treatment of localized kiDney tumors (i-RECORD) Project. This longitudinal, non-interventional epidemiological observational study aims to analyze surgical results and 24-month oncological-functional follow-up of patients undergoing conservative and radical surgery for localized kidney tumors in 35 high-volume international centers since January 2020. This study recently received a 40,000 euro grant from the Italian group for advanced laparo-endoscopic and robotic urological surgery (AGILE) and a 50,000 euro grant from the Italian Society of Urology.
Principal Researcher alongside Prof. Alexandre Zlotta (Department of Urologic Oncology, UHN Toronto), and Prof. Peter Chung (Department of Radiation Oncology, UHN Toronto) in a multicentric, retrospective, observational project comparing oncological outcomes of patients undergoing radical cystectomy versus trimodal therapy for muscle-invasive bladder cancer (cT2-3N0M0) from January 2012 to December 2016. Centers involved: The University Health Network (UHN) Toronto (Prof. Alexandre Zlotta); Massachusetts General Hospital, University of Harvard (Prof. Jason A. Efstathiou); University of Florence (Prof. A. Minervini). The results of this project were discussed at the ASCO GU 2022 Symposium (DOI: 10.1200/JCO.2022.40.6_suppl.433).

Investigator for Careggi Urology Clinic in the ROBUUST (ROBotic surgery for Upper tract Urothelial cancer STudy) Project. This project analyzed data from over a thousand patients undergoing nephroureterectomy for upper tract carcinoma in high-volume European and North American centers.
Investigator for Careggi Urology Clinic in the REMARCC (REgistry for MetAstatic RCC) Project. This project gathered over a thousand patients who underwent cytoreductive nephrectomy for metastatic kidney cancer in European centers.
